On Monday 6th July 2020 PropelHer’s Book Club discussed Your Dream Life Starts Here by Kristina Karlsson.
In this summary of Your Dream Life Starts Here: Essential and Simple Steps to Creating the Life of Your Dreams, I’ll be briefly summarising the book to help you make a decision about whether you should buy a copy of the book for yourself.
Your Dream Life Starts Here is written Kristina Karlsson, the founder and Creative Director of kikki.K (a Swedish design and stationery business). At the beginning of the book you’re introduced to Kristina and she shares her very own dream which is “to inspire and empower 101 million people…to write their own dream on paper and set about bringing them to life”. This book clearly plays a central role in helping Kristina achieve her dream.
The book is broken into 24 chapters and each chapter includes exercises that encourage you to write something down. There is an accompanying workbook that you can buy, but a normal notebook will work just fine.
In the beginning the focus is on dreaming. Kristina believes in the power of dreams and encourages you to write down 101 dreams of your own. She also shares the dreams of others to help inspire you. Next the focus is on passion, values and purpose. Then it is time to get clear on your dream week and year.
Dreaming is great, but Kristina wants you to actually work towards turning your dreams into a reality and the second half of the book concentrates on the “turning into a reality” part of the process. You are encouraged to start thinking about all of the things you can do, who can help you and what could hold you back. Then at the end everything is brought together and you are shown to create your one-age roadmap.
Like the sound of Your Dream Life Starts Here by Kristina Karlsson? Why not buy a copy of the book and read it yourself?
