F*ck Being Humble consists of an introduction and 9 chapters.

In the introduction Stephanie starts by sharing about how self-promotion has negative connotations and why she is on a mission to change those connotations and to equip people with the skills to be great self-promotes.

Then in Chapter 1: Self-promotion is not a dirty word writes about how we are taught to be modest, but why being overly modest can be holding you back. She then goes on to talk about competence vs confidence and the importance of building confidence.

In Chapter 2: Knowing what you stand for the focus is on speaking your dream, crafting your story and being able to put your personality onto paper. Then in Chapter 3: Don’t be in hiding focuses on building an online presence that works for you.

Then in Chapter 4: The power of networking drives home the importance of networking and how networking doesn’t mean going to stuffy events and giving out your business card. Nowadays there are so many options, but networking in some shape or form is important.

Chapter 5: Knowing your self-worth explores taking pride in what you do and accepting how good you are at your job or profession. It also talks about the importance of mentors. Then it starts to dip into the topic of money. Money is then delved into further in Chapter 6: Getting the money you want with the focus being on developing your skills in relation to talk about money so you can negotiate well, ask for payrises etc.

In Chapter 7: Calm the f*ck down the focus is on emotions. There are sections on anger, envy, confidence, adaptability and communicating with others.

Failure is inevitable and in Chapter 8: Failures make you funny Stefanie shares some of her failures, what she learnt and why all of us need to change our attitude to failure.

And then the final chapter, Chapter 9: Don’t let labels limit you is a reminder to not let your current label hold you back. Stefanie states “we are more than our job titles” and ends by encouraging the reader to “care less, share more”.
