A major part of creating a dream life starts with getting clear on what your “dream life” is. Now whilst you can write your ideal life out some people are more visual.
Vision Boards are really popular within the law of attraction community and I usually make a new vision board every January. However, for some people, a physical vision board isn’t possible.
Maybe you are a jet setter who is constantly travelling, or perhaps you share your room with someone else or maybe you don’t want to have a vision board on display in case other people see it.
That is where creating a digital board on Pinterest is an excellent way
Getting Started
I would recommend one of two ways to start your vision board.
– You can use the BE-DO-HAVE method to start helping you pin items to your board. (If you are unfamiliar with the BE-DO-HAVE method check out this post.)
– You can use the Wheel of Life method.
Using either method is fine, but for the purpose of this blog I will be using the wheel for life.
The wheel of life is used to help you consider the different elements of your life. Depending on whose model you are using there will be different categories.
Here is an example:
As you can see the Wheel of Life breaks down your life into multiple areas such as: business/career, finances, health, family and friends, romance, fun and recreation, spiritualist and personal development.
Step 1
Grab your journal or a piece of paper, and for each section write down what you would like your life to be like with regards to that area of your life. Once you have gone through the whole circle you will have a list of things to search and start pinning.
Step 2
When you create a board on Pinterest, you can make it public or private. For the purposes of this post, I am making the vision board public so you can head over there for an example. You might prefer to make your private.
Then you will need to find images or words that represent everything on your list. You can start on Pinterest, but you aren’t limited. You can save images from the internet and then pin to your board. You can also use your own images from your phone.
That’s it!
Now the joy of having a Pinterest vision board, compared to a normal one, is that you can easily add new things to your board. So this will always be a living vision board.
