Slow Productivity has an Introduction, Part 1, Part 2 and a Conclusion. Part 1 outlines the foundations for slow productivity and then Part 2 goes into detail about the three principles that make us Cal’s approach to slow productivity.
In Part 1 Cal writes about the rise and fall of pseudo-productivity and the issues with that. And then moves on to to talk about an alternative – a slower alternative. His concept of slow productivity is part of the slowness revolution, which includes slow food, slow cities, slow medicine, slow media and more. Slow productivity is defined and the three principles are shared.
In Part 2: Principles there is a chapter devoted to each each principle. Principle 1 is to do fewer things, principle 2 is to work at a natural pace and principle 3 is to obsess over quality.
