Women Who Work Too Much is split into an introduction, nine chapters and a conclusion.

In the Introduction Tamu sets the scene by exploring the modern day obsession with productivity “productivity is the new religion”, how many are operating in a state of toxic productivity and the forces “the oppressive trinity” that has made so many women find themselves in this position,

Then in the main body of the book Tamu shares how we have ended up in a place where so many women are trapped in toxic productivity. She shares over time work has changed and what is expected of women has changed, and slowly to surely we’ve accepted this as the norm.

Next, the book focuses on helping you to become friends with your nervous system and doing some of the inner work to help you get to know, understand and meet the real you. This part of the book is filled with exercises for you to try for yourself.

Then the focus switches to helping you find a better, more natural, way of being productive. You’ll learn about knowing your bandwidth and having a healthy life ethic. You’ll also learn more about the importance of rest of what the seven types of rest are.
