On Monday 1st February 2021 PropelHer’s Book Club discussed The Motivation Manifesto: 9 Declarations to Claim Your Personal Power by Brendon Burchard.
In this summary of The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard, I’ll be briefly summarising the book to help you make a decision about whether you should buy a copy of the book for yourself.
The book is split into two sections. The first section is entitled On Human Nature and the second section is entitled The 9 Declarations.
In the first section (On Human Nature) Brendon dives deep into three topics: freedom, fear and motivation. Brendon believes that “humankind’s main motivation is to seek and experience Personal Freedom” and goes into detail about what Personal Freedom is and how it can be achieved. Then he discusses fear, which he classes as “the destroyer of greatness”, with a focus on helping people to identify how fear appears and how to ensure it doesn’t win. The final part of the first section discusses motivation. He is passionate that understanding how to be motivated is key because “if we fail to master our motivation at an individual level, we cannot be happy”.
The second section explores each of the 9 declarations in turn. For each declaration, Brendon explains why the declaration is important, how it feeds into helping your achieve Personal Freedom and gives you actions to ensure you can start living my the declaration in your own life.
That’s it! You now have an idea about what you can expect to find inside of The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard.
