Maybe you are looking at screens late at night, drinking too much coffee, or just not leaving enough time to get a “full night” of sleep. A full night of sleep is different for everyone, but if you think you aren’t going to sleep try going to bed 8 to 9 hours before you need to be awake so you are truly giving yourself enough time to get a good night’s sleep.
2. FOOD
After sleep, the next thing you should do to recharge your energy is to look at what you are eating. What you eat plays a major role in how your body functions and your overall energy levels. Do some research into food that’s are great for energy and treat yourself to a number of nutritious meals that you’ve chosen specifically to help increase your energy.
3. EXERCISE

4. GO OUTSIDE IN NATURE
Mother nature is so powerful, but it is something that is often overlooked. If you live in a city you go to your local park or if you have access to a field, forest, river, lake or beach then head there. You can go for a walk, run or even ride a bike. If you really want to recharge try taking your shoes off and concentrate on the connection between your feet and the earth. Let the ground recharge your energy. Bonus point if you also turn your phone off.
5. CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE
Most people get bored by doing the same thing day in and day out. It can be hard to do the same thing over and over again, especially if you aren’t currently inspired or excited about your routine. Therefore, make an effort to change your routine. If you have a morning routine you can do something new. Take a different route to work. Go out instead of staying in or stay in instead of going out. Do a different form of exercise. Just do something that will help stop your running on autopilot and be present and excited instead.
6. LET YOURSELF BE CREATIVE
When was the last time you did something creative? As adults, it can be easy to not make time to be creative, but tapping into your creative side is a great way to recharge your batteries and even re-inspire you. Now creativity looks different to different people. Maybe you like to colour in, draw, paint, write poetry, take photographs, create a dance routine or cook a meal? If nothing pops into your mind think about how you were creative as a child or look through a list of classes you can take in your local area and see if anything takes your fancy.
7. UNPLUG
Turn off your notification. Turn off your phone. Turn off your computer. Now right now you might be having a heart attack at the thought of unplugging, but if you are already feeling low in energy then responding to every notification, beep and message isn’t going to help you. Even just a few hours away coupled with you doing one of the other activities mentioned can be powerful.
8. GO SOMEWHERE NEW
Change is a great way to increase your high energy and inspiration. In addition to changing your routine, you can add change into your life simply by going somewhere new. Do you have a bucket list with places you want to visit? If so, commit to actually going to one of those places. And if you are looking to go somewhere new quickly then pretend you’re a tourist and find somewhere near your home that you’ve never been to.
